News Values

Newness: In the article "Stephen Harper, Former Prime Minister of Canada, Quits Politics" It shows that  Stephen Harper announced on Friday that he his quitting his work in the government. He's been in work for overt 18 years, which made a shock to some.

Proximity: In the article "What UT Campus is Saying About Concealed Guns" The University of Texas has recently been under fire for having open carry on campus. Which is scary to me, since I do live in Austin, Texas.

Prominence: In the article "Paid $75,000 to love a brand on Instagram, but is it an ad?" They are talking about the total stars in Hollywood, the Kardashians, and how they are paid to endorse products on their social medias. To me it's prominence because they are talking about the totally famous Kardashian clan.

Impact: In the article "Judge in Texas blocks Obama transgender bathroom ruling" it tells us that even though Obama ruled it out nationwide for there to be gender neutral bathrooms, the judge of Texas denied that rule to go into effect in Texas. To me it's outrageous, the transgender community should feel safe and secure. But now with the ruling taken away, I believe this will cause backlash.

Conflict: In the article "Hillary Clinton Piles Up Research in Bid to Needle Donald Trump" The two opposing parties in the race for presidential office are going head to head to make themselves look the best for the role of president, starting at debates and rallies.

Human Interest: In the article: "Migrant rescues in Mediterranean: Newborn twins along with 6,500 migrants" The hearts of many are filled when they see newborn babies along with 6,500 other people saved from sea.

Novelty: In the article "Georgia teacher dreams up dice game about slavery"  A teacher in Georgia made a game that reenacts working on a plantation, and that certainly wasn't a good idea.

1.  They removed some markers because they were dedicated to honor the Confederacy. The man that wanted to keep them said that it was about remembering the people that fought. But to his dismay they were removed because it was offensive and didn't show that they supported diversity.

2. Ryan Lockte is being charged with filing a false robbery report in Brazil.

3. Bendrenik is a man that works on other graffiti works. His name is Bernd Renik.

4.  Bowie is ranked number five on the Centex ratings.

5. I would want the Belkin USB Tassels and Key Chain because my phone is constantly dying on me and it's irritating because I want to check my phone but it's constantly dead.

It's disappointing that it's taken 6 years for it to come to light. Millions of people suffer with severe allergies, that means millions of people should be able to buy the medicine to help with the allergies. Not very person with a peanut allergy has $650 to spend on a two-time medicine. Since it is such a common allergy, Mylan should not be able to raise the prices that extreme.

This private business is serving millions and is helping millions. They are making and providing LIFE SAVING medicine and that should be accessible to all. This company, Mylan, should lower the prices, since they have now been under the public spotlight and been called out. The CEO is all responsible for this and I wouldn't be surprised if she gets lawsuits.

I'm glad though that Hillary Clinton has spoke out about it, since it is a big issue. If the company keeps resisting price reduction I think the government should start to regulate it since it is a company that is so important to so many customers.
